| The
diversity of the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania is best reflected
in their many styles of cooking. Here you can sample the flavors of
Asia through Chinese, Japanese and Indian cuisine; celebrate the rich
textures of Europe through the Italian, French and Spanish schools of
cooking; or explore the eclectic tastes that Irish, Greek, Polish and
Pennsylvania Dutch foods have to offer. Traditional American barbecue
is, of course, also a favorite.
The
list below is a small sample of the restaurants found in the cities
of Hazleton, Wilkes-Barre and Scranton. It is intended to provide
business travelers with a reliable choice of restaurants to suit
a variety of tastes at a range of prices. Those selected are all
conveniently located and known for their fine quality food. Some
restaurants, such as Scatton's and The Saber Room, were chosen for
their elegant atmosphere, fine dining and superior service. Others,
such as Vesuvio's and Scanlan's, were chosen because they are places
where you can get a great lunch at a good price when you don't have
much time. Restaurants like Thyme Restaurant and Carmen's at the
Lackawanna Station were also included because they are located in
hotels listed in our Lodgings Guide.
Whatever
you choose, we hope that you enjoy the very best cuisine Northeastern
Pennsylvania has to offer.
